The application stores account information, tasting answers, roast ratings, Personalized Roast recipes, orders, subscription preferences, and operational events needed to provide the service.
Information is used to authenticate accounts, operate tasting journeys, retain Personalized Roasts, process orders and subscriptions, send requested account messages, and diagnose reliability problems.
The application uses Supabase for authentication and database hosting, Vercel for application hosting, Resend for transactional email, and Stripe (test mode) to process roast purchases and subscriptions. Stripe receives only what is required to process a test-mode payment; card details are entered directly into Stripe's hosted checkout and are never handled by this application.
Account information is retained while the account is active or as needed to operate and secure the service. Test accounts created by automated production checks are deleted after each run. Contact Lake Michigan Coffee to request account deletion.
Reasonable technical safeguards are used, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
